Interview with Lyn Thurman

Hello friends!

Today I would like to share an interview with the wonderful Lyn Thurman.

She has created The Soul Path Tribe which she describes as a place "created with goddess-inspiration for women like you who want a safe community to share dreams, find support, be accepted for their spiritual beliefs, and fearlessly move forward in life."
How does that sound? Brilliant I reckon!!

Now, I present to you the wonderful, magical, inspirational Lyn Thurman!

Hello Lyn! Let me start by asking you to
introduce yourself.

Thank you so much for inviting me into your space, Elin. I’m a writer, coach, founder of the Soul Path Tribe and the Soul Path Magazine, and a big believer in magic! I live in England, by the sea, and you’ll often find me wandering along the beach or hanging out of the attic window taking photos of sunsets.

Your website is called Making Life Magical! I love it! How do you make life more magical?

I believe magic is all around us and in us but we have to
remember it’s there. Life can get crazy-busy and it’s all too easy to forget
about the little miracles that happen every day because we get caught up in the
kid’s drama or running errands or trying to tick everything off that impossibly
long to-do list. The first step is to slow down so you can listen to what your
inner voice is telling you and also to see the amazing world around
you.

Once you begin to realise that the divine spark is everywhere,
you start to make life more magical. You hear the whispers on the wind, stand
outside with barefeet to moongaze, let your heart pull you to places you never
thought you’d go.

"Once you begin to realise that the divine spark is everywhere,
you start to make life more magical."

I love your websites and am so interested in all you do! Tell us a bir more about it.
I would love to know more about the Soul Tribe! And I believe you are an Inner Goddess Revolutionary! What is that?

Have you ever had a year where you look back and think, ”wow, what exactly did I achieve?” That was how I felt about 2011. It wasn’t all bad but it wasn’t really good either and I knew I could be doing better. I just didn’t know exactly what.

Then we went to Wales in 2012 and everything fell into place. A visit to
a coalmine gave me the inspiration for community and walking up to the gorgeous
Welsh waterfalls felt like the Goddess was speaking to me with every step I
took.

In three days, I felt connected, inspired and knew that it was time to
fully walk my own soul path.

The Soul Path Tribe came into being because I wanted to offer a service to help women (and enlightened men) make positive steps forward each month (because we’ve all had years that suck like 2011). Each month there’s a workbook based around a different goddess and a guided visualisation MP3 plus other goodies throughout the month.

"The Inner Goddess Revolution is really about remembering the
power and potential each one of us has."

Community is really important and there’s a close-knit Facebook group
just for Soul Path members where good friendships have blossomed.

The Inner Goddess Revolution is really about remembering the
power and potential each one of us has. It’s reclaiming our birthright and
heritage as daughters (or sons) of the Goddess and using Her stories to help
fuel our own transformations.

It’s coaching with a goddess kick!
All of us experience Goddess in different ways. How would you describe Her.
What is your experience and journey?

It’s too big to describe or put into words but I think you see and you feel Her best when you step out into nature.

Samhain

Hello dear friends!

Here in Sweden the leaves are falling off the trees and the days are getting darker. At the moment I don´t mind, because it is so beautiful! We had an amazing summer, and the autumn has just been so beautiful too!

The beauty of mindfulness
The leaves on the trees have been red, orange, yellow and brown, and everytime I see one fall I remind myself that this leaf will only fall now. And I am witnessing it. In this moment. Here and now.
This helps me stay mindful on my life. It helps me enjoy every moment. It helps me see the beauty around me.

Samhain
At the moment we are in the energies of Samhain. It is a time of transformation and a time when the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest. It is a time for leaving things behind, with gratitude, and a time to allow one self to be transformed and look at what we would like to sow for the future.

We can imagine that what we leave behind is transformed and the energy of those things will flow into our new dreams, plans and projects.

A ceremony
I facilitated a ceremony this weekend on a beautiful Iron Age burial site, just outside of Stockholm. 16 people came and we gathered around a huge stone pile, which I sense is like a place to honour our grandmothers from time gone by. All the women and men of our blood line.

We lit candles for our loved ones who have died, we sowed seeds for the future and let old habits and patterns holding us back go. We sent out healing to the world, to friends and to ourselves.

Afterwards we had a picnic, and and the sun was going down I walked back towards the train station through the tall pine trees. Such a blessing to be able to be in a place like that and do ceremony. I am very grateful to the women and men who came and created the energy with me and who shared from their hearts.

A time for going within and without

Samhain can be a time for going within and looking at what we no longer need. That can be hard so for me it is very important that I stay inspired to do my work in this world.
I am working very hard on remembering to be grateful and to see the beauty around me. i keep saying it. Probably in every post I do. But that is because it works!

Practice
Practice gratitude every evening before you go to bed. Every morning too if you can, so that your first thought of the day awakens your mind and heart to peace and to possibilities.
Practice it throughout the day too! On your way home from the bus. At lunch. In the shower.
Right now.

Thank you for reading this!
Elin

Rest and inspiration

-This is a post copied from my website and blog www.elinhejllguest.com-

Hello my friends!

It has been a while since I wrote here, and a lot has happened. And not so much.

The Goddessconference here in Sweden was fantastic! It was a weekend filled with ceremony, workshops, talks, sharing around the fire and meeting old and new friends! About 60 women, and a few men, gathered for the weekend!

We were lucky enough to have Kathy Jones, Mike Jones and Katinka Soetens from Glastonbury and Grandmother Jean from the USA. Kathy shared her Vision of the Motherworld, Katinka led us in an evening of ceremonial dancing and Grandmother Jean held a drumming ceremony.
There was also ceremonies and workshops my myself, Lola Ravenstar, Ann Forsberg andEva Christiansson (Mama Jord) among others.

Just after we had ended our closing ceremony two beautiful rainbows appeared on the sky behind us! So beautiful!! See the photo!

It was definitely a weekend that will stay with me forever. And thoughts and seeds for next year´s conference are already starting to grow within us.

After the weekend I was filled with energy, but that energy did not seem to want to jump out and create. I wanted to ride the wave of power we had created, but I couldn´t. So I stayed within myself for a bit. But now I feel ready to rise again.

New ideas have started to take shape, and that is great since we are now at the time of the Autumn Equinox, and on the wheel of the year that I follow that is the time of the element of Earth, which contains manifestation!
I am thinking of creating a one year Goddess course here in Stockholm, which I hope to start in the spring.
Very exciting! I am feeling inspired!

I hope you are well and that you look after yourself.

More gratitude!

Hello friends!

I am back home now after travelling to the other side of the world and back. I often forget how fortunate I am to be able to spend a month or more in Australia about every two years!

Lately I have been feeling bit low. BUT I have also not been focusing on gratitude or positive thinking. My brain has felt too tired. But that is not an excuse! Gratitude is not hard, and I now make you a promise to get back into listing everything I am grateful for every evening.

Let us start NOW!

I am grateful for my month in beautiful Australia. The weather was soooo lovely! Every day!

I am grateful for sitting here in peace, listening to Deva Premal singing the Moola Mantra for me.

I am grateful that I have a home and food on the table.

I am grateful for having applied for a job yesterday.

I am grateful for finding sone inspirational book on sale yesterday!
(60% off!! Woop Woop!!)

I am grateful for having seen a client yesterday, and also having a new one next week! Bring it on!

I am grateful for having seen my grandfather yesterday. He is not very well at all.

I am grateful for my beautiful daughter. We laugh so much together!

I am grateful for my cup of coffee.

I am grateful for having started to create a new website which might be THE ONE, instead of having two blogs and two websites!!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Okelidokeli! I could go on. How about you?

What are you grateful for right now? In your life? Write it down.

Sending you love.

New inspiration

My dear friends!

Thank you for stopping by here at my page! I am so thrilled that you do!

Today I have read some inspirational blog posts. It was just what I needed. Although I am surrounded by beauty I have been struggling to be in it. To be here and now and not to be sucked down into depression. I write so much about mindfulness, and how I live a lot in the moment. But here I have been, on holiday and have had a very hard time being present and being able to breathe in the beauty.

At times like these what I need is to find inspirational book, blogs, quotes and to have some time alone.

I have also been trying to see the beauty, to remind myself that it is there, to remember and to know! For example, when I have been going for my morning runs by the ocean and finding it hard to just BE in the beauty of the moment I tell myself:

See how beautiful the colour of the ocean is as the sun comes up?
Do you hear the sound of the waves as they break?
Can you smell the many scents of the rainforest as it is touched by the first rays of the sun?

This helps me to awaken, just a bit, and let it all in when I feel cut off.

What helps you when you feel cut off and closed down?

I also mentioned that blogs can help me. And today I read a post from my Priestess sister Tiziana. It was about freeing you mind and what that means for her. Here is the link, if you would like to read it too. Her beautiful writings made me decide to get into meditations more again. I used to do it once or twice a day, even if just for 10 minutes. But I have not done that for a while now.
I will do it, because I know how much better it makes me feel.

The other blog post was of course from Leonie Dawson. Will I ever stop linking to her pages you may wonder? Hmmm... Nooo, I don't think so!! She is just wonderful. And this post just made me feel relaxed and in awe of life and just so happy that I, too, have a wonderful daughter to share the world with.

Those are my thoughts today.

Blessings to you all.
